Mockly alternatives
2 open-source projects that already do this job. Free to use - not free to run, which is what the numbers on the right are for.
The projects
SawyerHood/draw-a-ui★13,580 GitHub starsMIT licenceBrowser tool to draw UI mockups and export them as HTML.Open on GitHub ↗JimLiu/baoyu-design★3,387 GitHub starsMIT licenceGenerates polished UI mockups and self-contained HTML prototypes using AI.Open on GitHub ↗
What you give up either way
- Polish and UX refinements (many templates, edge-case handling)
- A catalog of ready-made templates for many platforms
- Cross-browser/device QA and performance optimizations
- Any paid-team features (team management, billing, analytics)
An open-source project doing the core job proves a replacement is possible. It does not prove it matches Mockly, and it does not prove anyone has run it for a month. How we decide.
